Or, you can just call the DA or Sheriff's Office and send them a check. That's all they want anyway. It's pretty simple

Do you speak about being in the military every chance you get in real life? Or just here?

If you get a ticket just pay the freaking thing. Been to court to get lower charge and waiting in line some people act as if a point or two on your license is like a plea to spare their child the death penalty.

If anyone takes the OP serious, please don't. Telling someone to hire an attorney for a speeding ticket is stupid. It's this simple. You either just pay the ticket or go to court. If you go to court, there is a good chance the officer will not show and if he/she does, you can still try to talk your way out of it.

The getting a ticket in "butt frick egypt" reminds me of a story a guy I worked with told me. He is from Slidell but when he was in the Marines he was stationed in North Carolina for awhile. He was coming home for some reason and decided to drive so he was hauling arse.. And in some small town in North Carolina he got stopped.

He was going fast enough that he got arrested. They put him in jail, he stayed there overnight and the next morning he had to go to court. The judge decides to throw out the ticket so it wouldn't be on his record or anything, but told him that he had to put in a few hours of community work or go to the Mayor's office and donate $100 to the city. Still handcuffed, the office takes him out and starts going to the Mayor's office and he stops and tells him. "Just right out the check to Mayor ___________ Campaign and I will take care of it from there. The officer took the handcuffs off, he wrote the check, gave it to him and let.

Jokes on you.
I've gone to court on my last 3 speeding tickets and respectfully asked them to be reduced to a non moving violation. All 3 requests granted and I didn't spend the $150 on an attorney.
ETA: The once per year thing is BS. 2 of those 3 were in the same parish in the same year.
I drive ALOT.

Slightly more expensive, but equally as effective. Become an attorney. I haven't paid a traffic ticket in a long time.

I know a lawyer who did this, basically had to make a 5 minute phone call every couple of weeks. Said anyone could do it themselves if they knew who to call.

The most expensive traffic citation I've ever gotten was probably around $150. Probably less. I just paid it online. Much easier and quicker than your method.

I've found the best way to avoid tickets is to do the following (courtesy of my police officer friend):

1. Pull over to a safe area
2. Turn your car completely off
3. Keep your hands on the steering wheel until the officer is at your door.
4. Open window and then retrieve documents when requested by the officer.
5. Don't be a dick.

Following this method, I've been pulled over maybe 4 or 5 times in the past 10 years and have only gotten a ticket once.

The DA is married to one of my coworkers. I got a ticket for running a stop sign, a tail light out, and a two year expired inspection sticker. That shite just magically disappeared and I didn't even have to ask.

got it, just bored, funny story, I used to play on a bb team in south La, everyone on the team was a frat bro, I was the only one that wasn't a judge, da, or attorney, one of the guys and I left New Iberia one day to go to BTR to meet with some other frat bros for a Friday afternoon happy hour before an LSU game the next day, we had already begun tailgating before we left, my friend is driving and was smoking over the road right before the basin at about 80-90, gets popped by a state trooper, they guy walks up, my buddy says "I'll save you some time, I'm going to meet so and so(the DA,) for drinks in about an hour, I'll take it to him for you," trooper, half pissed, half laughing just goes back to his car

Yes, because all the DA's in every court system went to the same school as you and played the same sport.

Do you even realize how full of shite the majority of your posts are?
