How to get free stuff when airlines screw you?

I’m sitting here, delayed on a connecting flight over two hours.
I’m just some regular bastard. No elite memberships to flying or anything.
United told me that they can give free stuff out, only after a three hour delay.
Those bastard delayed the flight two hours and fifty five minutes.
Whatever.
What tricks and tips do yall know to get free shite from these vultures of the skies?

You're not getting much in the way of free stuff for a simple delay, especially a delay that isn't hindering you from making a connection.

I've gotten a couple of travel vouchers when shite has gone sideways and I complained on their website.

Traveled extensively for work, domestic and international.
2-3 hour delay ain’t big deal. Go with the flow mindset is your friend when traveling. Chit happens.
When bumped for overfill one time, got me a free hotel room in Las Vegas. AA almost put me in AA that night. Fun bump!

Also, you can only get something if it is the airline’s fault. Weather or non-airline fault, you get nothing
