If all of the crazy “conspiracy theories” were proven wrong then they wouldn’t be as easy to believe, but a lot of them are proven to be right later.

Nope, the way the conspiracy theorists minds work they forget all the times they were wrong ala Sandy Hook and then count times where they may not have been right as times they were correct (such as Covid will disappear after the 2020 election)

I don't believe our government has a problem killing us off, and part of the government did have a hand in 9/11. The Hawaii fire seems like too small potatoes for them to bother with. They can print trillions of dollars, why would they need to burn up the land to buy it from under the locals?

Epstein had legal issues about trafficking and sex 13 or more years ago. The courts were talking about it before Jones.

No one was talking about Epstein island and the IC running pedo blackmail rings in the msm in 2013.

My working theory is that he gets fed things from the IC every so often to help discredit anyone talking about them in the future.

“Government run social credit scores? Wasn’t Alex Jones ranting about that the other day? You sound like a crazy person with your conspiracy theories lol”

I feel for you.

sounds like they need to fish and golf a lot more and turn off the tv other than live sports

old people that sit in front of the tv all day become like the op described.

OP seems like one of those people who takes at face value everything he reads in the NYT and WaPo. And everything he sees on the Today Show.

We’ve gotten to the point where the media are the conspiracy theorists and the conspiracy theorists have been right more times that not.

I think a large percentage of these people have simply adopted politics as entertainment/hobby, so they just go along with this dumb shite because it’s their daily source of entertainment. It’s like fan fiction.

You are highly unlikely to talk them out of these beliefs so just talk to them about things that are more personal and immediate and avoid current events and politics.

I haven’t followed the HI fires at all to give any type of opinion. theres something to that one though because Im one of those people who question everything and my wife’s family is the opposite. one of those that if their tv is on, it’s on the news.

But even my wife’s lib sister who takes everything on the news at face value sent my wife a tiktok of all the strange events surrounding the fires from a conspiracy theorist account. If even she’s questioning the events then somethings fricky is all I know. Very weird for her to think somethings off.

That's the point. Nothing can be trusted and taken at face value. We should be skeptical of everything, and the OP doesn't need to worry about his parents. Do some kooky ideas get put out there? Yes, but the the garbage gets swept away. We need to be a country where people question everything.
