How to deal with conspiracy theory parents

1. Get a pen and paper
2. Start writing down their information
3. Come terms with the fact that they're probably closer to the truth, the real truth, than you are

So they don't believe the Government huh? You have smart parents......unfortunately the apple fell too far from the tree.

I’m guessing you also think the Maui fires were started by the government?

Lots of folks jumping to wild conclusions in here haha. Who let y’all out of the poli board?

Better question is why are people starting to believe/ask all of these questions all of these conspiracy questions.

If all of the crazy “conspiracy theories” were proven wrong then they wouldn’t be as easy to believe, but a lot of them are proven to be right later.

Not as dangerous as young people and the internet. Kids are killing themselves and chopping off their dicks at record rates because of social media and you guys are worried about grandpa screaming about forest fires.

Epstein had legal issues about trafficking and sex 13 or more years ago. The courts were talking about it before Jones.

Parents are constantly thinking everything is a conspiracy with the latest being the Maui fire.

“Isn’t it odd all the fires started at the same time?!”

“I just want to know the real truth!”

There’s being skeptical and then there’s being irrational. It’s getting hard to hold any meaningful conversation since everything ends up deteriorating to these comments. I guess some people get weird as they get older and interact with society less.

tell them that if they have time to worry about stuff like this then they have way too much time on their hands and need more hobbies.

They have other hobbies. It’s letting the family know about all the illnesses of your relatives you haven’t seen or talked to in 20 plus years.

I wish I had OPs problem. My parents are mid 70s. They believe everyone in the media is Walter Cronkite. My mom was a journalist and thinks they would never push propaganda. I would do anything to get them to question main stream media.

I wonder if you’ve ever considered the possibility that your parents might know more than you on certain matters? I mean, they’ve clearly been on earth longer to have more observation experience, so is it possible that they might have more insight to recognize that with smoke usually comes fire, regardless if they know all of the inner workings or not?

I mean, it’s not as if the Maui fire doesn’t smell like a bonfire or anything, and people are far from being little doves in a nation rife with corruption as this one.

It doesn’t help that almost every major Covid conspiracy theory that social media silenced was true…

I think there’s a difference between stuff that’s plausible and obviously being silenced by dem controlled mainstream media, and outright wild conspiracies.
