Buy a Havahart trap and a bunch of pet ID tags with some goofy pet name and her home address. Catch as many neighborhood dogs and cats as possible and swap their collar tags with the ones you made. The pet will go home as usual and the owner will confront the woman about trying to steal their pets.

Just a thought.

You've got to turn the tables on this old broad.

First you buy a couple wireless outdoor speakers, the ones that look like rocks or what-not and blend in with the environment. She's an old lady so she probably has a garden and flower beds all over her yard. They will fit in nicely. Then you get some MP3 audio of a dog/dogs barking. At different times of the day and several times at night let the hounds loose. After a few days your neighbors will be complaining about her to the hoa for you.

Update... HOA called and said the lady is known to be a "crabby bitch". They only sent the letter to make her happy and told me I have absolutely nothing to worry about. Apparently she even complained about kids yelling while playing.

Now I just need to find something to make granny move away.

How about being an adult and not chastise the old lady?

How about you do something nice for her?

Even HOA doesn't like her. My dog is not a disturbance according to every neighbor except her.

She needs to go

My parents had a neighbor who was illegally harboring Chihuahuas (according to their HOA you are only allowed 2 dogs). Wouldn't bother my parents except they barked constantly anytime they were all outside. My dad counted 8 at their peak and complained.

The lady showed up at their front door claiming she doesn't have that many and how dare he send a letter. My dad responded by taking a picture of the 8 dogs next time they were out and sending it back to the HOA along with cussing them out for not keeping him anonymous. A for sale sign was in the lady's yard a couple weeks later.

Why invest energy? They said you have nothing to worry about, so I'd just move on with my life.

It sounds like she is too chickenshit to come to your home and bother you, and it sounds like they know she's crazy so the most they'll ever do is forward her complaints.

I don't agree with befriending her, because I'm not much of a people person myself, but if you are going to invest energy into her, that is a better option than going out of your way to make her move.

Naa. After Boland, I barely made it through work last Friday. I'll go back for American Aquarium.

You going?

FWIW, I kinda know what you mean.

The woman who lives across the street is so insane that we avoid the outdoors if we see her outside. She loves Jones, but she's crazypants. She stopped us as we were backing out of the driveway to take me to the ER for what we thought was my appendix. We told her this over and over, and she'd start to let us go and then just kept on chatting.

Another woman knocked on the door a couple Saturdays ago trying to get me to complain to the city because these new homeowners build a fence that wasn't "to code" and she claimed it was bringing down property values. I passed their house yesterday, and what used to be a complete pile of junk actually looks really fantastic right now. We wouldn't complain regardless because it isn't our "section" of the neighborhood, but I actually think it looks too good to complain about.
