Obviously this is extremely selfish on their behalf when you look at things from a sibling perspective budgeting for birthdays, Christmas, and “new baby gifts”. This takes away from from my own family (spouse/child) and away from other siblings/parents of mine and my spouse. How would the OT deal with this?

Make them buy their own kids presents and y’all just sign your names on the cards. Problem solved. Oh, and maybe mention the pull out method.

I’d start with minding your own fricking business, you don’t want to spend any of your money on them, that’s fine. Don’t presume to tell others what to do with theirs, it’s not yours or your family’s. Pretty fricking presumptuous

What? Their business becomes my business when the kids expect gifts and presents. Not only that but I feel guilty if I don’t give. They are nephews and nieces.

Why do you think you have to give gifts to somebody outside your immediate family?

I dont give gifts to cousins or nephews. Only immediate family and godchildren

Sounds like it is beyond your means, not theirs?

This seems to be more about them procreating outside of your means rather than theirs.
