God I am so tired of seeing blatantly predatory business practices waved off as “the free market”
frick off. You excuse shite like this and wonder why youngsters are becoming communists

You just gotta play with the filters. Is that really too much to ask?

They saw people buying them at the gate so they told us that’s what we’d do this time. Was only about $60 for the same priced tickets buying them at the gate right before the game.
Tried to buy BR hockey tickets for the family the other day. $100 for tickets plus another $50 in venue and processing fees.

quote:Exactly. As a seller, StubHub wants you to pay for promotion so that your tickets show prominently. It's bullshite if tickets are hidden by an auto filter.
She couldn't find tickets she listed for sale. Her tickets didn't go missing

Bought some parking passes from them to an event and when showing up to the lot, the attendant said that the parking pass purchased was not valid and the address used was simply put on the ticket because it was a popular lot, ended up having to pay out of pocket to park. shite pissed me off and of course when calling for a refund on the pass, foreigner who could barely speak English. frick StubHub.

It's not the filter that bothers me, it's the absurd "ticket fee" they add on.

It is becoming increasingly clear that venues and artists aren't charging enough for tickets on the primary market. If thousands of tickets to a single show are ending up being sold for more on the secondary market, they need to raise the price of primary sales. They're leaving too much meat on the bone.

Deceptive business practices can constitute fraud. Tricking people out of their money isn't legitimate.

Don't do business with them.

Just click the slider that shows all the fees.
I don't like the fees, and you'd have to be mental to think that the amount they charge is cool or no biggie. It's preposterous. But the whole "my tickets were supposed to be $70 but at checkout I was charged $120!!!!

I was recently raped by them
Never again
Gonna give Seat Geek a chance next time, and it will have to be something I really can't miss

LSU, for one, forces you to use them. Most likely, others too
ETA: I double-checked, and it looks like it's SeatGeek, which is just as bad for gouging on fees.

I was told Seat Geek now by a season ticket holder, but I don't buy often enough to be sure

Events shouldn't let these buzzards buy every freaking ticket.
They can charge whatever they want

frick StubHub.
A number of years ago they were bought out by the European version of Ticketmaster.
Viagogo.
The two websites/app look exactly the same now. Viagogo charges the listing $10. On the buyers end, the same seats will be $10 cheaper than StubHub.
I don't know how common this is. My wife is from KC. Most of her family still lives there. Two adult nephews and a bil have Chiefs season tickets, but this year everyone kept theirs for the Christmas game.
Paying several hundred in fees to ticketmaster is just awful. Marketplace was so full of scams.
One of the nephews belonged to a super secret season ticket holder Marketplace group. It was kinda funny how protective they were about it. You had to have a member vouch for you and state your connection to them to get considered. But, that's how you have to police it.
The tickets and payment passed through a moderator. The buyer tipped the mod for their trouble. We sat in the lower bowl endzone for what ticketmaster would have cost us upper bowl 35 rows up.

Idk how it works at LSU but I'd be surprised if they "forced you" to use any particular provider. Idk how that'd even be legally enforcable to strongarm you into doing something with something that is rightfully yours that is in your possession.
UGA also has seatgeek as their "official ticket partner". They strongly encourage you to sell on SG if you need to and I think you can even do it right from wtihin your season ticket accout. But you can still absolutely sell your ticket on Stubhub or facebook or anywhere else you please.

StubHub also refuse to refund Sugarbowl tickets after it was rescheduled due to the attack in New Orleans. Apparently their policy is they will only consider a refund if the event is canceled.
