White supremacists? No.

Dumb kids saying racially insensitive stuff, probably 2-5 out of 10.

Btw, black people say racially insensitive stuff too.

By that I mean are there a lot of blatantly racist members, and do people say racist stuff openly at functions, for example? I would have argued that there isn’t a bunch of that, but I just heard a story about a frat at UGa that has me wondering.

Do you mean besides remaining racially segregated in the year 2018?

IFC chapters have black guys in them at LSU. they had them when i was in school and have them now.

NPC chapters didnt have any white guys when i was there, not sure how it is today. Any way it seems the black fraternities want to stay segregated based on race.

You'll hear racial slurs. I'll get downvoted, but it's true.

You’ll hear those all over the country, hell, you’ll hear them all over the world but I guess its worse when a southern white boy says something.

It was not a clan rally by any means. There was not usually an outward and intentional pride in being white and hatred of minorities.

But I'll admit there were a few instances where individuals made comments or jokes in a meeting or gathering that stand out in my memory. And that's because our cook was black and was in the next room for at least one of the comments. Which caused everyone to kind of freak out that she heard the guy.

Also, not blind to the fact that it was pretty much true that a black guy wouldn't get a bid. Never an "as a group, we aren't letting blacks in" type of policy or something. But you always knew there's be a few who'd argue if someone vouched for them and no one made the attempt while I was there. Not that it was a big deal that came up ever, because in all my time, I remember maybe 4 black guys coming through formal rush.

In summation, I'd say it was probably less racist than the average day on the OT, so there's that.

Fraternities are the opposite of slavery. Back in the day slavery was a way to buy black friends, these days fraternities are used to buy white friends

Just racist enough to fit in with the crowd. You have to dress and act exactly like the rest of your bros. Thems the rules

I heard that at every KA meeting they sacrifice a northerner to Gen. Robert E. Lee (may his beautiful soul RIP)

I also heard that at every AGR meeting they burn a cross in their chapter rooms in honor of Nathan Bedford Forrest.

Prob as racist as the average person in the south.

How did so many people miss that you were trying to point out fraternities are not that racist, just like the average person in the south is by and large not racist....
