It’s not even worth it. People get way too butthurt over politics these days.

Even if you have a valid reason for voting for Trump or Hillary and the other person voted for the opposite, you will be a terrible person in their eyes

There’s 3 people, two guys and a girl all mid to late 20s, that openly bitch about whatever new outrage of the day is about Trump, Republicans, etc. every morning.

No one else in the office ever joins in, comments, or participates. They way they loudly and openly say some of the things they do, assuming that everyone just agrees with their politics, blows my mind. The say some pretty offensive things about republicans. They also all gather around and watch Trevor Noah/John Olivier/Sam Bee clips with each other.

The one time I almost chimed in was one morning they got into a heated discussion about something Mike Pence said. I was confused, so i Googled it and the quote they were upset about came from an Onion headline/article

I didn’t tell them, just let them make asses of themselves.

Now I just put my headphones on

It's perfectly okay unless you voted for Trump.

FWIW it's even worse in classrooms. Professors spending class time ranting about how their own political beliefs are the gospel truth. God forbid you disagree with them publicly, because you can kiss your grade goodbye.

I'm one of two conservatives in my office. I don't say shite about politics.

If you have even a remote desire to "talk politics" with co-workers, you're probably an insufferable douche.

My office is in San Francisco. If they knew who I voted for, they'd be pissed.

Luckily they suspect the guy from Missouri more.

This!!!!! I had one co-worker who had to resign because he spoke his mind on politics and the supervisors harassed him so bad that he needed to transfer out. Actually, he came out ahead on that deal.

You may have freedom of speech, but you don't have freedom from consequences - particularly in the work place. Glad I am retiring in a little over a year.

it can only lead to back stabbing and people getting fired, never voice opinions on either, just listen and they walk away neither seeming to agree or disagree with anyones opinion, end of story.

My office is full of jews, blacks, middle class whites, and nasty Mexicans. We hide our money, wear shower caps to work, and build walls around our productive offices and joke about it all fricking day long then drive home in our Ford F250's, 1990 Ford Windstar vans, and Volvo's.

If she won the popular vote by millions, as you suggest, I am really glad she is not our president. If she is too incompetent to figure out the political system, which has been in place for a very long time, she is clearly not competent to run the country.

That would be the same as a football coach arguing that they gained more yards, had less penalties, won the time of possession and had fewer turnovers, but just didn't have enough points to win. That's comical, at best, if not altogether illogical.

I work for an Engineering firm on the Gulf Coast.

Most (90%) are Conservative but usually politics isn’t discussed in the office.

Two things that should never be discussed with ANYONE... 1) politics 2) religion. You will save yourself a lot of headache

Hell, politics shouldn’t even be discussed on the PT board.

I don't agree with her politically, but it's worth noting that as a career politician she knows a hell of a lot more about it than you do.
