I had only one living grandparent when I was born. He was born in 1887, died in 1973. Been on my own ever since. Parents died in the 60's.

My Mother's older Brother(my Uncle) is 92 and until 2 years ago was doing push-ups every morning.

I am now the oldest Male(Patriarch),at 56,at Family gatherings now, since an Uncle's death.

That's kind of hard for me to wrap my mind around.

My aunt is 85 and not in good health. She's the last member of my mom's immediate family.

I'm 44 and both of my grandmothers are still living. Paternal is 89 and the maternal is 86. Paternal grandfather died a few years ago at 93. Maternal grandfather died at 69 of cancer. Had a great aunt die a few years ago at 97. I hope I've inherited some of their longevity. Unfortunately, my dad died a few years ago of a heart attack at 61. He was a long time heavy smoker though.
