How often do you walk when you play golf?

I enjoy the game much more when walking and also play better when I walk the course.
The entire experience is different and better when walking. You see more of the course, have time to set up for the next shot, etc.
How often do you walk when playing?
Are you thinking about walking more during your rounds?
If you ride more than walk, why?
. This is what its all about.

If I had the course reserved to myself (which is obviously not reality) I would probably walk more often, for the reasons you mentioned.
But with as infrequently as I play it's usually on a Saturday morning with a full course, and I don't want to be the guy holding up all the groups behind me just because I want to walk. And for each time I let a group play through, there'd be another one right behind them.
It's more convenient, quicker, doesn't hold others up.

I walk during the week and ride on weekends. Once I buy a push cart I will probably walk on the weekends too.

I used to love to walk. I doubt I ever do it again.

I prefer to walk. Used to walk a lot in Austin as many did. Too many fatties here in Houston so courses typically won't let you walk esp on weekends. I blame the close proximity to La.

Depends on how drunk I am.

Courses in and around Bham tend to be a lot more hilly and mountainous than south Louisiana, hence a need for a cart

Ride.
It's tough to carry two packs of smokes and a 30-rack of Coors in a bag.

I used to walk as a kid when my parents would drop me off at the course in the summers (obviously couldn't get a cart then). But haven't since then. I don't play very much at all anymore, so there's that, but also just can't sand being rushed. When I walk, I feel like I need to get to the ball and hit it. Whereas with a cart, I can get there fast, and take my time once I'm there.

maybe 5% of the time. It's alright and I seem to play better but I'm also sorta lazy.

Course I play most doesn't allow walkers but I try to walk/push a few times a year.
I really enjoy it for the 2-3 months of palatable weather we get here in La.
This thread makes me want to walk more.

I enjoy walking when the weather isn't so hot. Good exercise and like you said you get to see more of the course and prepare mentally for the next shot. I might have to start walking a little more, as of late i'v just gotten spoiled to the cart. The worst part is finding someone who is willing to walk along with you. The balance of the round feels off when one guy is walking and the other guy is riding.

Walking is the best.
But I also don't feel the need to drink whenever I undertake such an activity.

Always. Not many carts for disc golf courses

If I play the local 9 hole goat Ranch (Thibby's favorite course) I usually will walk. I like walking but it's just too damn hot most of the time and carrying the bag is starting to hurt my back as I age. I know get a push cart.

I walked the other day, and ironically, I was playing with two highschoolers who were riding. They were good and we didn't have anyone in front of us. It was legitimately hard to keep up with them. I was actually jumping on the back of the cart to get rides to the tees.
