Too many fatties here in Houston so courses typically won't let you walk esp on weekends.

This is absolute bullshite.

How can a golf course not allow walking?

Its literally part of the game being played.

I don't play very much at all anymore, so there's that, but also just can't sand being rushed. When I walk, I feel like I need to get to the ball and hit it. Whereas with a cart, I can get there fast, and take my time once I'm there.

Weird, I feel I play faster when I walk. I don't have to park the cart by the greens, I can just walk to my ball.

I don't have to walk back to the cart to get the club I need because everything is with me.

Who walks back to the cart for a club? Just grab a couple clubs that you think you may need. Always grab your putter too if you think there's a chance you could put her on the green.

And for everyone that says walking slows down a group, i call hooey on that. I consistently keep pace when paired up with riders. If anything, I get stuck playing behind slow-arse foursomes riding in carts.

This guy gets it .

It slows me down in particular because I am not that good so walking while hunting down your ball in the trees and rough is time consuming

Well right, but you would be surprised how many people don't do this.

I haven't walked since high school, but I'm taking it upon myself to do so on my next round.

.

I'm not shitting on anyone who rides all the time, I ride most of the time, just want to get back into walking since thats how the game started and I enjoy the game more.

Absolute bullshite if a course doesn't allow a golfer to walk IMO.
