Havent spent a single $ in Orleans Parish since the end of the 3rd quarter of the Natty vs Clemson on a double Titos and Water. There is not one thing I have really missed about it either.

Huh? I’ve lived in Metairie for my entire life. Dining options are limited.

We keep trying new hotels and they are awful.

What makes a hotel awful for you? Ive stayed in a million different hotels and throughout the country. Some in very small towns with really shitty hotels.

I haven’t been since the start of corona, and have yet to miss anything we used to go there for yet. If anything it has saved me money, from being carjacked, and or murdered.

Was there last weekend. Had to do a wedding. That was the first time I actually stopped inside Orleans Parish for about a year and a half.
Live in St Tammany.

Whenever I've been to NO in the last 5 or so years, it just reinforces that i do not miss living there.

There are plenty of good eateries in Metairie, BTW

I'm skipping an annual meeting this year because it's in NO

we're still trying to get back into the swing of in person conferences but the location was the tipping point for this one

I avoided it even 10 years ago and still won’t go out of my way to fly there for any reason, today.

I go about once a month or every other month. I go for work but usually hang around for the weekend to see old friends. I rarely venture outside of uptown as I find it to be the only nice area of the city at this point.

Only when absolutely necessary for work or an event that I cannot get out of.

I have been in New Orleans once in my life. About 5 years ago my wife made free room reservations at Harrah's downtown on our way driving through. I drove right past it and kept going into Mississippi.

I'll never go back. I saw all I needed to see of it.

I've gone into the city three times this year, once to play golf at City Park South and for 2 concerts. We used to go fairly often but with current state of the city we only going to be for something special.

Lived there for 2 years about 15 years ago. Have a lot of friends there still but haven't been back for at least 10 years. Unless something unexpected happens, I doubt I ever go back. Wasn't really my cup of tea then, and certainly isn't now.

It's been a number of years. There's nothing in New Orleans I need or want.
