Damn. I eat out lunch 2-3 times/week and dinner about the same. I love cooking but sometimes I get home and just don’t feel like it.

Does fast food count?
We pick up something from Subway or KFC now and then, not often though.
Also our local Piggly Wiggly has a deli and they have really good spaghetti. Sometimes we get that.

Wife and I have cut eating out by by about 75 % from 5 years ago. Costs a real issue . Fast food is 20 bucks a person. Restaurants get most of their stuff from Sysco which tastes like a clean paint can. There are some opportunities with non-chain restaurants, and 1in 5 asian buffets.

Seems like most of the posters in this thread rarely eat out because they can cook better food at home.
Yet there's a full restaurant on every corner.

A lot, but our kids recently reached the age where we can comfortably leave them at home. We never did babysitters or had date nights, so honestly we go out at least once per week, maybe 2… but just the 2 of us. Whole family maybe 1x pet month.

When I work from the office (twice a week) I go out to lunch, most of the time my boss pays. As a family we eat out maybe twice a month.

Most Americans are in debt up to their eyeballs too.
Most of the people in this thread are probably at home saving their money.

Wife and I prefer to stay at William Vale near Williamsburg. Subways really easy with Google Maps.

Any place that serves bison; I’m going in.
BBQ joints and Chinese buffets are my kryptonite.

As often as we want. Delivery a few times a month. Lunch any day in the office. At least once every weekend.

We’ve learned that we can always do it better and essentially just use restaurants for meal ideas.
It’s just not seasoned to our taste or mass produced bullshite.
Had a gift card to Texas Roadhouse and mid meal I looked around and felt like a hog at the slop through awaiting my inevitable death. Swore I would never return to a chain restaurant

Honestly almost every single day. But I'm solo so it works out about the same as making dinner. I spend $20-30 a day usually.

How often are yall eating out?
My wife and I are into fitness. Food to us is part of our daily health regimen, more easily done if you prepare your own food.
We do go out for live music weekly, but will eat a little something before we go. We do like a well made cocktail or a good bottle of wine.
I have friends that eat out 3-4 times a week. They are all fat as hogs.

We don’t go to chain restaurants.

I guess this could be a point of pride? It’s not difficult to eat for cheap but it typically means bulk meals eating similar things over and over.
