I called Scott Fence in Baton Rouge about a month ago. They told me about $5,500 for 220 line feet of cedar, with two walk thru gates.

Like someone else said, you can definitely DIY.
Worst part (by far) = digging the post holes.

there's not too many things around your house that you can't DIY, just have to pick and choose what's worth your time and effort v. just paying out of convenience

I rented a power auger for half day to dig about 30 holes. Took 90min and $35 for the rental. Best money I've ever spent.

Yep we were just looking at augers this weekend. Hell for the pull behind auger its 105 a day from home depot.

Get the pull behind auger for sure. You can dig those holes in an hour or two without trying.
After building mine, I would have spaced my posts closer. I think 6' instead of 8' would make a lot of difference. Actually I woukd do it 5 1/2' and not worry about them falling out exactly right.
