how much of your life do you share on this site and is it worth it?

i know i know; CAD is a post-whore but honest-to-God; without this board i would have made so many mistakes on home projects, game tickets, food prep, travel plans, financial questions, etc etc.
for all the snark that goes on here, i have to say my time on this board has been largely positive and while i'm sure i would have been fine left to my own devices, advice and support from here have almost 100% of the time been spot-on.
its a great 'spot check' before i take the plunge; in particular the home-garden board has saved me from making huge blunders and given me timely advice which elevated whateverthehellitis i'm doing at the time. nothing like a good ol' baw telling you why-the-frick-would-you-do-that
to avoid bad ideas before you implement them.

I'm sure AI could figure out who I am based on my posts. I'd say I get some solid local news info here. Posting here keeps my looney thoughts mostly private and I get it out of my system. Keeps me from spreading my screed on FB.

I’m intentionally vague here and I also claim contradicting things sometimes to throw people off in case anyone has an idea of who I might be. I mostly just have fun fricking around on here.

One person on this board knows who I am. I need it that way to be able to freely express opinions, many of which are not popular, especially with the LA sycophants and Jew haters.
I'm mystified by people with tens of thousands of posts that reveal their names, identities, etc. Maybe it's the Gen X in me that never had anything recorded, posted, or permanent, and this board is the closest thing I have to making HR shite their pants.

I share how I’ve had success and growth financially and in my career. It’s not always easy to hear, but if it keeps one person from being a spoiled, entitled brat blaming the government or economy for their spoiled behaviors not being easy to come by, then it’s worth it.
