Wouldn't do it for anything. That much time alone makes you go mad

Probably depends on the person. I could definitely do it if I had books and half edible food.

A year in solitary confinement??? $130k???? Not trying to be ugly but you can make that at home in your pajamas these days.

Yeah I’m not trying to be a dick either but damn, really whoring yourself out on the cheap. Go get a job in sales and you could be making that tomorrow.

Lot of people on this thread who don’t have the faintest idea what solitary is like.

Just a few days is traumatic for most people. A year? That would fricking break you.

In a true SC situation where I can't leave my 8x8 room and have no TV, internet, radio, only books. Food is slid into my cell. It would take somewhere in the neighborhood of $100M.

If I could have a big room with comfy bed, large outdoor area and gym/sports equipment, food cooked by Bobby flay, and just not ever see or talk to anyone , much much less. $1M probably

I didn't read the article but if that was the poker player it was under extreme conditions. Dude had to spend one month in a bathroom at zero light conditions. His meals were to be passed through a hole in the door.

I'm 90% sure it wouldn't break me assuming I had books, normal food, lights and an hour or so of yard time. I'm not really a people person though.

Hmmm?

Michael Milken made $1 billion on his junk bond scheme. That is billion with a B.

He was sent to a Club Fed. He spent 3 years playing racquet ball, eating well etc.

He was fined $500 million.

All of his exclusive country clubs kicked him out.

He walked away with $500 million.

In solitary for 1 year? That means a dark hole with no light or sound for 23 hours a day?

Never.
