Do you get mad when posters make fun of you for graduating from southern? Does it bother you?

6 figures here. Hopefully that public service loan forgiveness is still being funded in the year 2024.

And that's why you're a worthless human being. I worked 1-2 jobs a semester to make sure i graduated with no debt. Then people like you come around and want me to pay your debt as well through my taxes.
It's called responsibility. You chose not to make all the sacrifices necessary up front so now you have to pay on the back end. I made all the sacrifices up front in order not to pay on the back end.

Except even people with degrees can't find jobs when things are bad.

Welders and instrumentation guys are busy right now though.

I got $40k coming out of my master's but it opened the right doors for me. Total salary has jumped significantly and the ROI was worth it overall. I also am in my early 30's so I have time to fully recoup the expense.

Just don't pay it off. Some dumb politician will give you amnesty on it eventually in exchange for your vote.

Well if you are a minority, you can probably get debt forgiveness and not pay it back.

If you are not a minority, well then you are screwed

Guess it depends on your income potential. 250k of debt to be a doctor is probably worth it. 250k to be a social worker is not a good move

Good rule of thumb, don't take out more student loans than you will, realistically expect, make in your first year out of college

Martini hopes Scruffy isn't a 2nd grade teacher.

What do people think of a parent that works his arse off in order to save and eventually pay for his kids college out of his pocket so they do not have to incur student loan debt?

And I mean hard working kids, not spoiled brats. Kids that will get undergrad in 4 years and then continue on?

OP trolls this board damn near everyday to nudge people to talk down on Southern. OP needs to find another topic to troll about. This shite is getting old.

If you can afford it go ahead and do it. My grandmother paid for my education from middle school through grad school. I'm very thankful she did.

I think the parents should pay tuition, that way the kid can have money for bogies, beer, etc and have a worthwhile college experience
