We got legally divorced so she could get free housing, food stamps and other subsidies from the government.

Mnuchin said he wants checks flowing inside of two weeks. Of course, this requires Congress to handle their business first, approving funds. No telling what they'll do, especially if McConnell suddenly decides he cares about the deficit now that we actually need deficit spending.

Interesting, a lot to keep up with these days. Thank you for the replies

The $65k cut off was a part of Romney’s suggestion.

The outrage from places like LA, NYC, or SF where $65k is lower low class will be epic.

People are throwing around a lot of numbers in here, but has any of it been set yet? My understanding is that they still have to hammer this out with Congress before they provide specifics.

Some perspective, “Stimulus Checks in 2008 The year before ARRA, the George W. Bush administration sent out stimulus checks to battle the 2008 recession. It spent $120 billion in fiscal years 2008 and 2009.1? It rebated taxes on the first $6,000 of income for individuals or the first $12,000 of income for couples. Stimulus checks were mailed out as follows:

Individual taxpayers received up to $600.4?
Married couples were eligible for up to $1,200.
Households with children received $300 per dependent child.
Rebates were reduced for higher incomes at $75,000 for individuals and $150,000 for couples.

Wow, you’re bragging about not providing for your own family and using the taxpayers to do it. You’re divorced, and she claims you give her no child support or money for your own kids. That’s embarrassingly low and trashy.

I assume that all the folks who say that Trump isn't their president aren't going to cash their checks?

Well frick them if so. So I’m going to be penalized for working overtime (which they Tax higher already)

I hate taxes as much as anyone, but this is untrue. If you make $40k total working regular hours while someone else makes $30k working regular hours and $10k working overtime, you will both be taxed identically (all other things equal).

I'm fairly sure that he was being sarcastic. God, at least I hope so because it is trashy as hell.
