It’s probably a masters in social work or geography

Both of those could be fairly lucrative careers in the right area.

When has a salary been based on an hourly scale?

Seems like an employer looking at candidates with advanced degrees would know the difference between wage and salary.

Notice that it didn't say what the degree should be in? It's a bullshite, shoot the moon job posting. The person they hire will not have a Master's.

Don't bash geography. GIS is a highly technical field of study.

If you're good and don't mind long days from time to time O&G companies and their engineering consultants pay top $ for GIS.

Yep it's crazy though that a lot of people don't know how to properly use it.

If you had read the OP, you'd have noticed that the Benz was going to be next year. Although, I am looking at one now, and if I get a price I like, I may not wait.

Don't worry, I'll post pics.

I dropped out of high school, too. I pretty much do whatever I want and it works out.

I'd really like to get a graduate degree. Most of my social circle and many of my relatives have one. Guy who sits next to me at work has a PhD.

The thing is, I already make more than these people. The job market seems to be more about narrow, professionally-demonstrated skills than anything. It honestly makes me kind of sad.

Schlumberger paying recently graduated engineers $11 an hour and Halliburton is $10. You don’t get overtime until you work more than 90 hours a week.

College Degrees have turned into Venezuela’s currency...

You have links to these job recs because I don't believe that partially because it's probably illegal under labor laws

The software engineers there get over $110k

And also, labor laws. Their legal departments are huge. They know better.

I seriously doubt those numbers. If nothing else those people could probably get entry level software development jobs and make about $28 / hour at a minimum... no helicopters or crew boats.

Sometimes I see job postings for attorney positions where they ask for 5+ years experience and pay $40k per year
