$1.75 summer job, worked at a hospital moving a library with dusty old books from one floor to the next. Medical records followed next. Wasn't much money, but it was inside work.

Restaurant in the early 80's, last 2 years of high school, 1st year of college.
Did various jobs: as a busboy, $2.01 per hr, plus tips anywhere from $6 to $12 per hr. Oyster shucker, $3.35 per hour. Dishwasher $4 per hr. Cook...I can't remember what, probably $5.25 per hr.
Of course, at that time, community college tuition was $9 per credit hour and 4 year public university tuition was $27 per credit hour.

$4.25 at Kroger in 1987. Sweet gig. Worked the video counter and stocked dry goods. Had a key to “the cage” where al of the busted candy packages were stored waiting to be returned. Work was like living at Willy Wonkas Factory.

$3.75 at the age of 12. I was bringing home about 120 bucks a week in 1990 in the summer and had no bills. Balling as frick. I could go to the arcade and throw fricking money.
I remember working summer of 1996 down at the outlets in Destin living with my dad who was out of town for a job and was offered 6 bucks an hour and nearly shite myself. She asked me if I was ok doing stock room for awhile because it needed to be straightened up and I told her I would make it shine for 6 bucks an hour.
