Not one agent is telling people that 70% of La is driving uninsured.

Also, if you have health insurance what is the point of all the UM coverage? It only helps you if they are un/underinsured to pay for your medical bills which will be covered if you have health insurance.
Well depending on you health plan if you’re like me and carry a high deductible I’d like to be made whole on that along with anything else that might not be covered.
UM isn’t overly expensive.

You don’t need insurance when you’re judgment proof.

Depends on your assets.. if you’re in an accident and don’t have enough to cover the loss and that person has Uninsured/underinsured insurance and they file against it. When their insurance company pays out the UM coverage they(the insurance company)can come after to to indemnify that loss..
It’s highly unlikely unless you kill or severely injured people in an accident that you would ever get a judgment in excess. It does happen but most PI attorneys/insurance aren’t going to bother with it.

With umbrella, literally $3.50 mil.

500/500/500
1MM Umbrella with UM. It's like $225 a month and I'm debating dropping it. I would like more but it's wholesale unaffordable with SF.
RLI seems more reasonable but still not cheap.
I'm told by PI attorneys it's rare they go for a judgement over the policy limits if there is decent coverage. Even then it's difficult.

If someone has 25+ vehicles in their name, they would likely not even be worried about the cost of insurance.
