So many other options available now compared to mayo. It isn't a crusade against mayo, there are just better condiments available for a lot of dishes.

Mayo on a BLT will not be topped.

Hummus on a grilled chicken sandwich is outstanding though.

Yea I want to separate myself from that bullshite. I wasn't thinking about the whitewashing of immigrant taste buds as a 6 year old. I just couldn't/can't stand the taste and texture of mayo. Greasy gloopy shite that is the is what I imagine vinegar flavored la croix would taste like.

If you've never been drunk or high and crushed a Hot N' Spicy from McDonald's with warm mayo just pouring out with every bite, you haven't really lived.

No problem with Blue Plate either but Hain Safflower mayo is a guilty pleasure.

This is gourmet level mayo!

And just like that every other opinion you hold is invalid.

If it’s not Blue Plate, it should not be consumed. Any other mayo is straight trash.

I'll have to try Safflower and Blue Plate. I've been using Duke's for I don't know how long.

As some of you have pointed out, mayo is just being hidden in modern condiments. Aioli, remoulades (Canes sauce, etc), the stuff made with shirraca and mayo that is on virtually every type of sushi roll you buy, honey mustard, and the list goes on.

Mayo based sauces seem to be everywhere these days. Plain mayo may be just not special enough for the "discriminating palate" of todays diners.

I personally don't like mayo, and can barely tolerate a sauce that uses mayo as a base, but I know I'm in the minority on that.

It isn't like mayo is some exotic ingredients.

All the classic French sauces were invented to hide the flavor of spoiled meats.

I love mayo

That I did not know
i mildly was kidding. Standard honey mustard does not, but a lot of store bought honey mustard that are thicker do in fact have mayo.

I eat mayo. But I have to spread it very thinly and evenly.

I can't stand when it's drilling everywhere. It bugs the hell out of me that you can't really feel it when mayonnaise is on your fingers or lips.
