Mayonaise is probably the greatest contribution to Western Civilization by the French.......way to go Pierre!!!!!!

The Best

Blue Plate
Dukes
Hellmann's
Tabasco spicy

after that, it's all pretty much crap. Don't even get me started on Miracle Whip.

Mayo has its place: BLTs, Egg Sandwich, shrimp poboy, etc. With that said, some places put it where it doesn't belong.

Example: I ordered a meatball sub once that came slathered in mayo...who the frick puts mayo on a meatball sub? You know what's on a meatball sub? Meatballs, red sauce, and cheese. That's it. No fricking mayo.

well looks like you dont know why mayo was created.

Mayo was created as a moister barrier between a piece of bread and whatever you put on top of, or in it so the bread doesnt get soggy. So it is supposed to go on a burger to keep a nice juicy burger from sogging your bun, unlike the tard the quoted The Whole Nine Yards says.

So by definition, it is ok to put mayo on your meatball sub, but it probably would have been better to put a more Italian flavor like garlic mayo/aioli.

I was cured of mayo eating when I was a kid and dropped a jar of it and it shattered all over the kitchen floor. My mom made me clean it up and it damn near made me vomit.

Gross and super unhealthy. But hey, gobble it up if it makes your fat asses happy.

I don't know if anyone mentioned it, but a strange use for mayo I was shown is to use it to toast buns on the grill.

Just slather up the buns then put them mayo side down to toast. They end up buttery and delicious. Don't knock it until you try it.

Somewhat. They're sourced from existing plants but the batches and formulations may be different. I believe the mayo is made by Hellmann but it's much thicker.
