There’s been a significant focus on small business impact, specifically around sit down restaurants in this conversation. For my family it’s generally 2-3 times weekly. We will likely order the same in togo orders during this situation. As I watch the news, it’s like people completely stopped ordering out. I can’t imagine lazy mofos actually started cooking just because they’d have to eat at home.

Will you change your habits? Or will you order and pick up?

Probably too much but I do cook a lot too. I do get a good fruit and veggie intake though. Eating out technically doesn't always have to be bad depending on what you get.

Not much and Wife and I were just talking about this. Huge push to get take out from all sorts of restaurants. I love it and seems great in theory but not sure how many are actually doing this besides pizza. Think most people will start saving money and cooking own dinners.

I normally cook 6 nights a week because I enjoy it and also because I can guilt my wife into doing the shite I don't want to do, like clean the litter box.

Too often. Probably have take out 3 times a week.

To be fair, there's more to it than that.

A lot of people are losing their jobs, and many more stand to lose them. I don't see myself losing mine as of right now since a big part of it is revolving around helping kids affected, but I know I'm in no hurry to blow money like I do normally going out eating/drinking.

Trying to find the delicate balance in supporting my regular spots/friends, while not funneling my money into it. Just in case the worst happens.

It's the drop in booze sales that is going to kill a lot of restaurants.

Bet Michael Douglas wishes he’d have been less “hungry” over the years.

About twice a year on special occasions. As I’ve gotten older and my cooking skills have gotten better, I can’t stand going out. Luckily, my wife agrees.

Once or twice a week was the norm but we haven't eaten out in two weeks. Time for a run to the farmers market for provisions. Tomorrow is moving day so we probably will grab some takeout or have a pizza delivered to the new place.

Usually order out 1-2 nights per week and go to a restaurant once a week pretty regularly.

The last thing I want right now is more people touching my food. I'm through with takeout between now and either myself contracting the virus or the pandemonium ceasing.

I think the risk to myself is exceedingly low. But I think I pose a risk to a particularly high-risk group of people that I come into contact with on a weekly basis.

So I'm not particularly scared of getting it, but I'm worried that I'm a potentially significant vector.

They start their takeout tomorrow (well, Highland - no idea about others) and the family deal for 4 is pretty good. They haven't replied to anyone's questions re: margs. Have a feeling they will play that by ear at first.

Sad to see a lot of restaurants in NOLA who had said as of yesterday they'd be open for takeout are now closing for a bit.

I think you will see more and more people wanting to get takeout as time passes and they get antsy, but most local spots can't afford to stay open with little-to-no business waiting on that time to come.
