when I was a kid it seemed like ticks and red bugs generally refused to cross the Arkansas state line into Louisiana

I’ve had ticks before. Last time was two years ago I had two, one on my hip and one on my leg. It was probably 20 years before that last time I had that which is odd because i definitely spent time in the woods.

I spent a few days in the woods that were so tick infested they control burnt that forest and in survived without getting any

Lived outside as a kid and never had one tick on me. We occasionally saw a wood tick or two on our pets but that was it.

Now there are deer ticks everywhere. Have had probably 5 on me in the last 20 years, that I know of.

Handful of ticks in my life. Had one on the top of my head as a kid. Smashed it with the ball piece on the top of a baseball cap. Didn’t know any better.
