Most people who have facebook have their full name, contact information, pictures, etc on it.
If this site went to Facebook commenting, not only would you have to have a FB account to post on here, but, the anonymous nature of this site would end.
Another outcome would be an increase in fake FB accounts =)

Tiger droppings is my escape from Face book. Some times I want to talk sports or out doors or food or etc including just shoot da breeze with like minded folks mostly from the south.

The site would become worthless. Recently, the Advocate took over NOLA.COM and the per article comments went from the hundreds/thousands to SINGLE DIGIT comments on almost every story since you must now log in with Facebook. Ridiculous. The Advocate's takeover has amounted to a lean, well run NOLA.COM website to an advertisement jumping hodge podge of junk that nobody reads anymore. Hundreds of thousand of readers of the Times Picayune for over 150 years are dwindling down to just hundreds. It's really pathetic.
