One, and his murder was on America’s most wanted. It ended up being his roommate who did it. I hung out with him just a couple of hours before it happened.

Local news article

Guy was in my grade up until about junior year and then dropped out. 2 of the 3 guys that killed him were a couple grades ahead of us in school and one had just been dishonorably discharged from the military.

Holy shite dude. It’s incredible that of all the executions that took place, his drew sympathy.

His nickname was Tiny, and he was a gigantic man. And he had high blood pressure, so when he was electrocuted his nose bled onto his shirt and stained it. And some of the news people were saying how his chest exploded and that kind of bullshite. It was ridiculous. And people used his case as to why it was cruel and unusual punishment. Actually, he was the last person electrocuted in Florida to this day.

Another of my mom's sisters actually witnessed the execution. I remember being in her living room in 1999 when she called after it was over and talked to us about it. frick him.

You can google his name and see pics of him post-execution (if you're into that sort of thing).

Two. One was trying to break up a fight and a guy stabbed him. Another got into a fight and the other guy shot him.

Two other close misses. A friend was mugged and beaten in Houston. They threw him in a dumpster and shot into the dumpster 1/2 dozen times but miraculously missed him. My cousin was stabbed 5 times on Bourbon St. but lived.

I remember that case.

Was the story of them trying to act as anti-heroin vigilantes really true or were they just trying to get a connect and cut him out of the deal?

Had that happened three or four years later, the DA might've had a damn hard time convicting given how badly heroin has ripped up central and northern KY.

Yes I think it's true, atleast that's what I've heard. What I heard was that the guy who was killed had been trying to sell heroin to kids and these guys decided enough was enough. The exact details of the murder are pretty gruesome.

I have known two.

The first was a neighbor girl, who was the victim of a murder-suicide by a boyfriend when she was about 20. She had dated my brother a few times.

The second was the 12-year-old daughter of my first cousin. She was attacked walking home from the school bus. The whole community looked for her for about a week before someone found her body. The case has not been solved and 25 years have passed. The case was featured on a lot of nation-wide crime shows, including America's Most Wanted.

Both were wonderful girls who wouldn't harm anyone. Total tragedies.

My elementary drama teacher at EHS was murdered by some down-on-their-luck people he invited into his home to cook dinner for.

Pretty fricked up. He was an amazing guy.

RIP Danny Tiberghein.

Dumped his body in a corn field across the river I believe.

Two for sure, both beautiful girls. One was shot at a bar right after we graduated from high school an done was murdered with her husband in North Carolina by a worker at their home. A third, another girl, died at a ski cabin in Colorado after she and her boyfriend did a bunch of drugs and she "hit her head." I suspected he murdered her.

Two that I can think of:

A guy that grew up down the street from me when we were kids was killed by a guy I went to high school with. He plead to manslaughter and spent less than 10 years in jail. He should still be there.

My wife’s brother was killed in a home invasion several years back. Two guys came in to rob a bunch of people at a party. My brother in law tried to be a hero and go for one of the guns. They shot him in the head and killed him. One plead guilty to manslaughter and is serving either 20 or 30 years, and they never got enough evidence to arrest the other.

I'm from the mean streets of Welsh, so I've had a number of friends that were gunned down. It sucks because some of them were really good friends. RIP

Yes. Murder implies malicious intent. Killing someone driving drunk (while tragic) isn’t murder.

A sorry arse thief family friend who I grew up around, after I sold my home, he broke into my storage facility and stole everything I owned, furniture, appliances, everything.

A few years later, he killed his wife and burned her body by a bayou near Minden. He then shot himself in the head with a .22 but lived. Hope he is getting his arse humped every day in prison.

My friend's brother was murdered by cops in Cobb Co GA.

He was an ex con, troubled.

While on parole he robbed a waffle house.

Got home. Went to sleep.

Cops track him down, send swat to his house in the middle of the night on a no-knock warrant, kick the door in and blew him away as he was startled jumping out of bed.

I went to HS with a guy that ended up becoming a serial killer. He was a good bit younger than me but used to hang out with us sometimes. He randomly killed 4 people.
