The "good part" of NOLA. To be fair, the one shooting was "across the bayou", which aint what it used to be.

I've been in my new house for 6-7 months and as of now, I had more incidents at my old house uptown. I've never felt unsafe here and I'm only a few blocks down Orleans from the can company

4 within 20 miles the closest 15 miles away. None fatal. 2 when some thug and his ho in a well known meth neighborhood aimed a gun at an officer, 1 in another drug area when a criminal aimed a gun at an officer trying to resist arrest, and one in the same drug area when someone's pit bull attacked a man and he was hit with a bullet as they shot the dog.

Boise averages 2 murders a year, has for quite a few years, they are over that this year because someone killed a family of 3 a few months back.

if you know which one may be the fatal one you could report it or ask for correction.

the cool thing is they verify most of the reported events with news article and such to click on

That just shows how big of an area lakeview and lake vistas, etc is.
Im sure a lot of the shite in NOLA folks don't realize there is that much of a "good" area in the city.

Not bad. And both were in Section 8 housing across the main road from my neighborhood.

Picked a random address in the West End here that's notorious for gun violence:

There have been 23 shootings within a 1-mile radius of this location in the past year, 7 fatal and 16 non-fatal. The closest shooting was 0.21 miles away.

But the protestors here say it's just racial profiling to say violent crime is worse in the West End. "It happens everywhere in Louisville".

Just checked a couple of my old customers when I covered New Orleans. Glad I packed heat on my Thursday visit to Carruth Brothers. 14 within a mile.

What's the low down on this place ? Some of the people seem pretty well off, and some people seem like they don't have a bucket to shite in.

I don't really know, from the street I can see some really nice apartments but haven't really figured out how some of the people I've met that say they live there can afford it. I met some girls at Pal's lounge that lived there and they said anyone can get into there pool area and it gets pretty thugged out during the summer.

16 in 1 mi. 3 fatal, 13 non-fatal, closest .34 mi. My stats are skewed down a touch seeing as how a large portion of my 1 mile circle is actually the Mississippi river.
