Feminism was such a crock. It was never about empowering women. It was about doubling the labor force to increase production and drive wages down to basement levels through basic supply/demand market dynamics. Basically a bunch of corporate fat cats and (((financiers))) conned the Gloria Steinem's of the world into convincing generations of women that they need to slave in a cubicle for 50 hours a week to matter.
Every crappy metric of society bears this out. The middle class has been gutted. Breadwinner jobs have disappeared. The old standard of a man working 40 hours a week to provide for a household of four has turned into two people working 100 hours a week and getting even less in return. Women are tired and depressed. Their kids are unhealthy from eating crap instead of home-cooked meals. That's if they have kids. Birth rates have tanked because many of them foolishly thought their ovaries would just wait until the right time when Mr. Right and that elusive promotion would finally culminate and then the laws of reproductive biology said you lose.

Same thing here including the All My Children. She couldn't have been happier. Felt like it was key to successful marriage. Nothing came before her husband and her children.

I'm not a stay at home mom, but I work from home which I feel like is the best of both worlds. I still get to work, which I enjoy, but can easily make it to all the holiday parties at daycare and school functions when he is older.

My mom was a SAHM.
My wife is a SAHM.
My sister is a SAHM.
My SIL is a SAHM.
It’s pretty common in my family. We prefer it that way. Removes so much stress from your life when one parent can stay home and take care of things around the house, will always be there when the kids are sick, or to homeschool your kids during a global pandemic

Mine was till they got divorced. Then she worked full time. Had a degree for UF and everything so started teaching. Ended up being an insanely good tennis coach as well. Really proud of her.

My mother worked an executive level position my entire life. A position she still holds. And she did every single thing you listed in the OP too.

I had a SAHM, my kid’s had a SAHM, we made a lot of sacrifices so our kids could have her at home. We had many friends who said they wished they could stay home with their kids, but needed both incomes to make ends meet. In every case it was the standard of living they chose not necessity that required two incomes.

She'll probably go back to part time when the last kid is in school or at least preschool, but she doesn't have to. Depends on what our lifestyle is like at the time. Like I said, we are fortunate I make a decent salary.
A wise woman who retired after a professional career once told me that no one goes to their grave wishing they had worked more hours or made more money, but many wish they had spent more time with their kids, especially while they were young and wanted them around.
This helps me stay grounded and avoid becoming a workaholic trying to chase the dollar.
