How many people go home and watch the grainy, shakey video they filmed at an event?

Instead of actually watching and enjoying where they are at. I was at a concert last night and during the finale or ‘big song’, half the crowd was looking at it through their phone.

Seriously, are you really going to go home and re-watch that shitty video and enjoy it half as much than if you would’ve put your phone away and enjoyed it live??????? What the hell is wrong with you people??????

Do you ever even pull the video up when you get home? What the hell is the point of ‘filming’ something that if you really wanted to savor you could easily see or order a professionally made copy later.

I don’t get it either, but as long as they aren’t interfering with my expiration even, film on.

Ha, my neighbor and I were just having this conversation over the weekend while watching the golf tournament. Almost every time they were showing a shot on TV, the majority of fans in the background had their cell phone out taping the shot.

They will watch it many times on their Instagram as they check and recheck how many likes they’re getting.

It’s 100% for social media.

I might do a quick clip of something just to share. I am terrible at taking pics of a vacation or something and actually going back to look at them. I guess there are still there though whenever I may want them.

They all got to post it to their social media to prove they were there.

I take a couple of pictures of the stage. Maybe one before then one when the act is out.

I’ve never filmed anything. It makes no sense.

Pictures of crowds before 2005 are great because no one has a phone out and everyone is enjoying themselves.

Now every single person has their phone out like a dumbass.

They do it for the "likes" on social media. It's the heroin of an entire generation.

pro tip: turn the tv in your bedroom on. go to the 'cast' option on your phone to cast the screen. open the camera app.

It's not about watching it. It's about posting it to whatever social media outlets are in vogue at the time so that you can brag to all your friends that you were there and they weren't.

The worst I saw was at Roger Waters last year. He was playing the pinnacle of the show and did the prism like this

And stupid motherfrickers were staring at it through a 4 inch screen instead of taking in the spectacle of a 50 foot fricking pyramid floating in midair above the crowd with a goddamned rainbow coming out of the top timed perfectly to Roger Waters singing "I'll see you on the dark side of the moon".

I hate people.
