Did a destination wedding but from the wedding party 14 years ago? A 50ish professor of ovarian cancer, a 70is professor of pancreatic cancer, a parent, a 50ish woman of covid, a late 40s guy who smoked of pulmonary embolism.
It is sad. But I suppose being reminded of mortality should teach us to value the time we have as limited and not waste our lives

I had a great wedding.
Since then:
My grandparents are dead
My wife’s grandparents are dead
An uncle committed suicide
A wife’s uncle overdosed
My aunt died of cancer
A best friend ODd
Oh and one of my buddy’s wives was pregnant at the time but she miscarried so that kid is dead too

Yes it is. It mostly depends on years of marriage.
Fifty three years. Most of the attendees are deceased. Her Mom and Dad, mine, one sister and the best man are gone.

Not as many as you would think. My best man did pass away about 3 years ago at a young age. Drank himself to death and also started doing drugs after his divorce.

We've been married over 50 years, figure it out.

18 years married = 16 dead ones. I'm sure there's more. My wife keeps better track of these things.
All of the deceased were elderly at the time we got married except for my friend Blake, who killed himself a few years later.

My great uncle passed a week before his 90th birthday. (Screw Covid)
My wife's grandparents passed within 6 weeks of each other just at the beginning of this year. (Again, I say screw Covid)
My niece, who was unborn at the time of my wedding, passed at 18 months.
I've been married 3 years.
Thanks for the very happy topic to get me in a good mood this morning.

Married 25 years this coming July so we’ve had a good number of wedding guests pass. Just off the top of my head I can count my step-FIL and numerous aunts & uncles that are no longer with us.
One thing we noticed not long ago was in the picture of our wedding party there were six other couples in the picture, five married one dating at that time. Of the five married couples only one is still together. As for the couple that was dating, they’ll have their their 23 wedding anniversary next August.

Married almost 9 years, and I can only think of 5 (2 uncles, 2 grandparents, 1 family friend), but I may be missing someone, as I don't recall our entire wedding guest list.

Married eight years and it is a little heart breaking to see the number of people that have died over the that time
We married in May 2010 and for our 11 year wedding anniversary we watched the wedding video for the 2nd time.
One thing that we were mostly surprised was the large amount of guests that eventually got divorced. We counted 7 couples to be exact.
Our flower girl (8 y.o. niece at the time) passed away over 3 years ago, close to her 17th bday. Yep, we are still heart broken.
