Arguably the worst time of the year. Sure the king cakes are nice, but for the next 10 days it’s socially acceptable for Louisiana idiots to act like drunk, fat, trashy, slobs. Not even to mention the traffic, streets smelling like piss, and liter all over the ground. And all for what? The overwhelming majority don’t go to mass and do a lenten penance. So what is your excuse to act like a clown the next week? I for one cannot stand to be apart of the sin and evilness mardi gras has come to represent.

We will be uptown drinking cocktails while watching from a distance. Carry on heathens. We enjoy watching.

So you only know about Mardi Gras because of bourbon street and standing 10 deep on Canal Street. Typical OT trash

there is only one parade i ever traditionally go to, and that's the Lockport parade... but both my wife and I have to work that weekend, so we won't be going this year, sadly...

I would rather dif a ditch with a shovel in 110 degree heat than attend one parade.

Blocked off 2 full blocks of the neutral ground with folding chairs 3 months ago. You're God damned right I'm letting it out.

You know, some of us just tailgate, catch a few beads, and enjoy the floats and bands.

King cakes are frickin' gross. The only time I'll eat that garbage is when somebody brings one to work and I need a sugar rush.

Willing to bet you’ve been to NOLA Mardi Gras once or twice tops and have never left Downtown/Quarter.
