Yep. I will be at a house party before the parades this evening. Gumbo, red beans, fried chicken and 15 or so other dishes. Good drinks, good friends, and there won’t be a cigarette or tattoo seen. LOL
Daughter is marching in one of the parades and my son will run around throwing football and such while waiting. The best thing is he’s old enough now that he doesn’t care all that much about keeping what he catches so he finds little kids to give stuff to.

Maybe it’s a nostalgia thing, but I still enjoy going to the parades and catching the throws and all that.
But as an adult, I couldn’t care less about bringing that shite home and I’ll usually give all the stuff we catch away to kids as we leave.
There’s nothing more pathetic than seeing grown arse adults fighting over plastic nonsense.
