if anyone around Hammond needs gas the stations close to 12 are out but the two on 190 just west of airport road both have gas and the lines are not that bad

if you need ice the big machines at the chevron on airport road and on 190 heading west from airport road both have 20# bags

Riding it out in Folsom. First big storm since living here. Not worried about flooding but pretty nervous about the dozens of water oaks surrounding the house. Time will tell.

Riding most of it out on Bennett Bridge in Folsom, have a whole home generator but lots of oaks around the house. Will probably ride out worst of it at wife’s aunts house on an adjacent property that has no trees around it.

We are in Ponchatoula and pretty much can't leave. The first night after hurricane Katrina the people living close to our neighborhood started breaking into the homes of people who left. We don't want to come back to a looted home. One night without power and the rats and roaches come out at night.

In Covington, south of I12 but riding it out. There are a few trees that could topple onto the house, but this will be our first storm in this house so we'll see how it goes. Appears all the neighbors are staying too, so that's somewhat comforting. Let's ride......

The eastward jogs in the track are not exciting, but no one around us has bugged out

we’ve decided to leave Hammond.
the risk from the trees is just too great

it sounds ridiculous but we are going to Baton Rouge.

Unpopular belief, but it wouldn't surprise me if this thing passes between BR and Hammond, which puts you on the weaker west side of it.

Yep, these eastward shifts are going to make this thing less fun. With that said, I'm stuck here now so let's ride!

Slidell here, 19ft above sea level just south of I12 but I have the boat hooked up to the truck with the straps off and plug in just in case. Boat is under a cover now. No trees within 60 feet of house. Got the generator prepped and window units ready.

I have friends in Slidell who rode out Katrina.
I had advised them to leave.
their generator was under water.
oops.
house way up on stilts ok.
I bet they get out this time.

op sir
do you know that the lake is going to rise anywhere from 4 to 7 feet?
variable?
are they wind direction and barometric pressure?
tide on the gulf?

are you 8 feet above the lake?
