Why is everyone so dismissive on this board especially regarding the topic of leaving Louisiana?

All people do is complain about how bad things are then you have people that want to relocate and people become condescending.

It’s really weird.

Telling you to do what you want is hardly condescending

I can’t leave - so I might as well make the most of it - even if it’s taking my chances of getting shot in BR or NOLA

That’s on you. The actual risk to you is not close to your paranoia. Certain people are just overly afraid. Sometimes therapy can help. Best of luck.

Define the actual risk if you’re capable of doing so without being condescending.

Telling someone they don’t know to seek therapy on an anonymous message board is a little weird.

Had a roommate and his friend get stabbed up in the FQ in the '90s. Friend died and roommate nearly died.

Save for a few groups of punks on a couple of occasions trying to goad me into an altercation, I haven't had anything bad directly done to me. Quitting while I'm ahead though.

Left my car parked in lake view about 5 years ago and rode with some friends to lunch. Pop up thunderstorm dropped mike 5 inches of rain and my car flooded because the pumps weren’t working

I have been going quite often recently and haven’t seen or heard anything horrific happen to me or anyone I know? Just curious

Had my apartment broken into when I left for Christmas holiday one year. Turds saw me working on the car and knew I had a set of newer tools to Jack. Came home to find all my shite gone and the police were less than useful. Graduated a year later from school and have been back maybe twice since then.

That was a good concert. Didnt puddle of mudd open after some band dropped out last minute? We were front row for deftones. I couldn't take the suffocation after they finished and watched godsmack from the seats
Yep. And if you remember Sully Erna cursing out someone after a song for sitting during their set, that was me. I just had knee surgery a couple of weeks prior - hence why we were sitting front row near the stage instead of on the floor.
I actually got to talk to him directly on a SiriusXM talk show and he remembered and apologized. Dude pissed me off with that!

Yeah...the news stories and actually crime statistics are so over rated.

It’s literally the murder capital of the country and sometimes 911 goes to voicemail. If the cops do actually answer the phone it takes minimum average of 3 hours for them to respond on a good day. If they do respond it’s usually just to write a report and move on.

If by some miracle they actually catch the perp theres a better than 50% chance he’s out on minimal bail within the same day and doesn’t show back up to court.

If he does show back up to court the DA seeks minimum charges and sloppily prosecutes the case and then if he is convicted the mayor shows up to his sentencing hearing asking for leniency from the judge.

Those things are facts. It’s every bit as bad as it seems and it’s just getting started.

I do remember that and I believe i now am having a memory of you telling the story on here . There was actually another band that came on first before POM. They were crying because the crowd wasnt really active yet. They got booed pretty badly.

Wasnt really a godsmack fan. Went for deftones. But they put on a great show

Here is a shooting I recorded in front of my house in Nola.

The shooter is an idiot. His friend even thinks so.
