I was bad about it in my 20s and 30s. Luckily I gave it up for lent in 2019 and haven't had an ounce of it since. AA worked for me and I need it.

A glass of wine in the tub while watching trashy tv does not make me hate myself.
That’s weird.

Up with a newborn all night, I made myself a whiskey and left it on the kitchen counter when I fed her. I hammered it at 3:30 when I started getting ready for work and found it. Does that make me trashy?

Hell, this thread makes me want to have a few at lunch time. Why wait? I'm thinking bourbon.

I will have a glass of wine or bourbon once with dinner once a week, maybe less.

All those 110 year olds chug red wine so there might be something to it

I’ll one up ya. I see no reason to drink at all. Ekahaul is a lower class drug; people abuse it because it is cheap, and readily available.

how bad is your life that you need to escape from reality?
why do you hate your family so much? shouldnt playing and spending time with your kids or being with your wife relax you?
jesus what a terrible reply
btw if you drink daily...you are an alcoholic, like it or not.

I was drinking about 1 (maybe 2) beers a night with dinner. A few months ago, I decided I wasn't drinking on nights when I worked the next day. Pretty much, I can drink on Friday and Saturday nights. I still only drink 1 or maybe 2 beers.
I haven't noticed any big improvement but mentally I feel like I am doing something for my health. I am definitely not getting any younger and I figure my liver appreciates it. I have a family history of liver issues so I need to take care of it. I'll probably go cold turkey in the near future.

I almost never drink Monday-Thursday.
I'll have a couple on Friday, a 3-5 on Saturday and maybe a couple on Sunday.

Alcohol is poison.
I still enjoy it though.
If weed becomes universally legal, I could see it displacing alcohol for me.

Having a glass of wine with a homemade meal is poisoning yourself with trash?
Tell me you know nothing about life without telling me.

There is quite a few self-righteous-loathing AA members in here apparently.
I really dig their belief that people give a shite what they think…..esp unsolicited.
Honestly, miserable fricks they must be.
ETA: they also are frequenting the liberal MSM sources as this topic is being run right now.

Wait.
“Healthy relationship with alcohol”?
Nm. You did cite special occasions at the end of your drivel.
