Yeah that is a good story from where that picture came from. Supposedly Teddy Roosevelt did battle with one there around the Georgia Florida line.

The native americans have some pretty funny stories about bigfoot.

I would need to see him first. More than likely I would see him while hunting or hiking. It would be tempting to shoot when I'm hunting but I probably wouldn't unless I felt ever so slightly threaten, like just stare at me in a mean way. Then it is shooting time.

I believe there is a species out there. However, due to the attention whores, inbreds, and hacks that try to profit off of the "search" it has watered down the whole science behind finding the animals. Also, it has taken the search area way away from the possible real habitat of the NW/Canada.

Like mentioned before, gorillas were recently discovered.

Check the name baws... Hes out there. In reality its a fun thing to believe in, but I don't think something could remain hidden that long unless it lived in some jungle or some very remote place i.e. Nepal/Bhutan.

I got pretty jazzed when that story came out about finding BigFoot remains somewhere in N. GA 5-6 yrs back but of course within a couple of hours it was debunked.

Facts are not subject to "belief." Either you have evidence of the existence of bigfoot or you don't. If you have no evidence there is little point pursuing the question further.

Shows like the one you mention get an audience by telling people what they want to hear: which is either 1) that there are mysterious things out there; or b) there are stupid people that believe, without good evidence, that there are mysterious things out there. So some people watch and find confirmation of their "belief" in bigfoot. Others watch and find confirmation that stupid people will believe anything. Most just don't watch that nonsense at all.

Wow, some of you are serious.

Wait so all the animals that we haven't discovered yet don't exist? Whoa

Check out Dr Meldrum's work on the morphology of the track casts captured over a 40 year period. Closest thing to scientific evidence available other than a few hair samples that defy classification.

1.7M known species, 10-12M estimated to exist on the planet. So we know of 20% or less of what's out there. Just saying.

Those are mostly insects. Many of the rest are amimals we are aware of but may not recognize them as a differentiated species from their current classification.

Yeah, and it's not like Big Foot would be some crazy unusual animal like a platypus if he were found. We're talking about a primate.

The FB show came to the state park a few miles from where I live and I had to laugh while watching it feature the group they selected to represent our community in the meeting to discuss the Squatch suspicions and possible sightings.
