Booked our place today and officially headed down there in mid July. Gonna be 10 of us in a beachside cottage.
It’s trashy but super fun.

I go to orange beach every year. Live in Oregon now and still make a summer trip with the family.
Hard to beat a basket of crab claws from sea n suds washed down with a cold one.

So 5 couples in one 3 bedroom cottage? How long you going to be there?
Watch out for the jellyfish. If you get stung just have your boyfriend piss on you

We always go a couple times a year. Went for years when single with friends and had a blast, went with wife and kid now and have a blast. There is something for everyone. July is SUPER hot though.

Gulf Shores is one of the least trashy beaches in thr Gulf region unless you go for Hangout Fest

Tell me about Gulf Shores?
We like Cape San Blas, and have rented a beach home in Dauphin Island. So sell me on Gulf Shores? Similar to orange beach?

Yeah no. It’s half a notch above Grand Isle.

It was much better about 15-20 years ago when the waves were bigger.

When was the last time you’ve been to either place?

I don't care what anyone says, I love Orange Beach. Gonna retire there, someday.

Gulf Shores is overrated and trashy as frick. Pensacola, Fort Walton, Navarre Beach, Destin, and Panama City are much better options

The area between the Dauphin Island Ferry and The Beach Club is some of the most amazing private beach area on the Gulf Coast. That new development Morgantown is really really nice and private.
I guess you would call that Fort Morgan

Bay side homes in the wooded area across from Bon Secouers NWR off of Mobile St. It's about halfway between Gulf Shores and Fort Morgan proper. It is quiet, shady, with a two minute drive to the beach in the NWR that has, what, two structures or three around it?
Great area. Only drawbacks are it's juuuuuuuuust a bit too far to walk to the beach and a 20 minute jaunt to the Rouse's. The bait shop/grocery is closer, but small.
