Destin, Miramar Beach and just outside of PCB is really nice.

Yes. But I haven't been there since the storm.

I plan on going that way again this year, they could certainly use the business.

I've seen trashier beaches in the quad.

Pensacola, Fort Walton, Navarre Beach, Destin, and Panama City are much better options

Oh yeah, I don’t think a trashy person has ever gone to any of those places. Give me a break. Gulf Shores and Orange Beach became popular, in part, because of places like PCB and Pensacola becoming trashier and gaining a reputation as party destinations.

For the record, I think PCB and Pensacola are great, but let’s not act like those places are high-class society compared to Gulf Shores/Orange Beach. Heck, PCB did a ton of work to get rid of the party-crowd reputation.

The further you get into PCB the trashier it gets and by trashy I mean older buildings and a younger druggy crowd.

We go multiple times a year. But it's just over an hour away and lots of people we know have condos there. Easy weekend trip, usually bring boat once a year and stay on cotton bayou side.

We do 30a in offseason if house is available. Have a conference at Sandestin Hilton every June and it's miserably packed if you try to leave the hotel/baytown area.

LOL you are exactly right. It doesn't seem like that long ago that folks avoided Pensacola and Panama City like the plague. I stayed in Panama City the year of the oil slick and I recall walking into a convenience store and it was like a fortress built out of Natty Light 30 packs.

Snow skiing- trashy

I could maybe see someone considering Disney or cruises trashy, but skiing is anything but trashy.

Go to any mountain in the Colorado or Utah Rockies and get back to me on how much trash/culcha you see.

Skiing is one of the most affluent/non-trashy recreational activities you can possibly do.

Panama City used to be a shithole back in the late 90’s. Swore I would never go back.
Had a free condo offered to me a couple of years ago and I was floored at how much has changed. I guess all the old hotels got wiped in a hurricane and now it looks like any of the other places along the coast

went Down to fort Morgan a couple of years ago. That area would probably be my first choices if I could choose a spot. Definitely don’t have to worry about overcrowding
