This statement is so stupid it makes my head hurt. You are saying you didn't have 8 lbs of fat on your body? You were 4.5% bf? Highly doubtful.

BMI is flawed in individuals who are athletic or have a large amount of muscle.

Scruffy falls under overweight as well because of that.

It is still a useful tool and applicable to our population because the vast majority does not exercise, do not have muscular frames, and are simply fat.

Must e.

6'3 200, 34" in waist and still feel I'm too skinny sometimes compared to my frame. But overweight...?

I’m 6’. 210#. I’m 34. When I graduated high school I was 150#. I think I would feel ideal at about 185-190

Fair enough but I’m just trying to point out that you obviously carry quite a bit of muscle on purpose which is obvious by lifting 3x a week and doing BW stuff. That’s s lot if lifting and it’s gonna skew more toward the bodybuilding side of things. Most of my athletes lift 2x offseason and 1x in season.

But I think now we are getting too much into semantics.

This is me at 160 a while back(took picture after a bike wreck). I'm 5'11 and change. I'm no meathead muscle bound guy, but I'm far from frail looking in this picture. I'm between 170 and 175 now and feel fat.

I'm not rationalizing anything. I'm telling you people I've seen who are 6' 160 and below appear skinny and frail. Sorry soiboi. Build muscle.

Right. So replace the muscle with fat and they are lighter with the same look, only mushier.

Not frail. These people are trying to shift normal.

Might just be a bad pic, but you look like you have zero muscle.

Why? You're waist should be in the 30-32 range. If you wear 34s you definitely aren't too skinny and probably have a gut. The fact that the average size is 34 should tell you what you need to know considering the average person is fat.

Mostly soccer, basketball, mma, lacrosse and track. Some football but not many.

Obviously with football more strength and less work capacity is required but even still many a football player has tried to become a powerlifter and/or BBer who also plays football to their detriment. But in msny cases that is the coaching staffs fault.

Can I get a link to this? I feel like this is not the average in this country. Certainly not anywhere in the south

I'm a 34 and definitely overweight.

Since you're bringing up athletes, honest question, how many NFL players are 6'0 and 177 or less? Is Drew Brees overweight at 5'11 and 209 pounds?

You're an idiot if you can't figure this out.

when I was seriously powerlifting (18 until about 23) I didn't do any cardio because it was detrimental to powerlifting. that makes sense. it was miserable trying to keep my weight down though. I tried to stay close to competition weight (148) so that i wasn't cutting much. My raw lifts were 390 squat, 280 bench, and 425 dead lift.
