Not everyone who attends is a rider. Some just want to help whatever cause we are benefiting.

I hesitate to contribute to this thread because I don't really ride that much, but I do own a 2002 Harley V Rod that presently functions as a fancy garage ornament.

Always wear a helmet.

I have been riding all my life. I have a Star Stratoliner 113 CI. It is a fun bike to ride. I ride all over the place but most of our time is spent from Pensacola to Hammond. Our home is the Ms Gulf Coast.

My wife loves to ride to.

We have a big trip planned to the dragon in a couple of months. Looking foward to it very much

I'd love to own a bike, but drivers in BR (or any city) are just so horrible I wouldn't ride in the city. Most drivers don't even pay attention to other cars, let alone something smaller.

I ride with a helmet but have ridden briefly without in states where it is legal.

I am a proponent of helmet use but an adult should have the choice whether they want to or not. Not the government making the choice for us.

LA used to have no law until our current governor decided it was a bad thing. (Foster spearheaded the successful removal of the helmet law).

The cellphone is about the most dangerous invention for motorcyclists as cagers didn't pay attention before and are much worse now.

Been riding since I was 7. Grew up racing motocross.

Got a tw200 in college (first street-legal bike). Then an Aprilia Pegaso, and a Yamaha V-Star 650 that I still have.

My ride of choice now is my trusty drz400s. I love dualsport/adventure bikes.

And I won't ride without a helmet at minimum.

I want a bike but I drive fast enough as it is. I'm too immature for a bike.

I can't ride any more but I used to race motorcross and did track days on a sportbike. Before doing trackdays, I rode the sportbike on the street a bit. I would never ride without a helmet, boots, gloves, a leather riding jacket, and at least denim riding pants. I value my skin. Anyone who rides with less is a moron and deserves any injury they get. Once getting on a track though, I had no interest in street riding. Unless you're going too fast, it's no fun. The last time I rode on the street, a friend and I ran from the cops at 100+mph. When I reflected on it afterwards, I thought, " I'm a 40something year old dentist with a wife and 3 kids at home - WTF am I doing running from the cops at 100+ mph?" Stuck to the track after that.

Riding a Motorcycle is like a virus... you either have it in you or you don't. It lays dormant in your system until you take your first spin. Then that MC Virus springs to life.

To those that have it... no explanation is needed... To those who don't... no explanation is sufficient..

Cliche much??

This is a new term for me. Is it like how lesbians refer to straight women as "breeders"?

Sorta. "Cagers" are people in anything other than motorcycles.

For you it's not a lifestyle, for others it is. Now if you want my respect, log off the OT, get out in the real world and go stand in the middle of a group of bikers and share your opinion of how our lifestyle is just a line of crap.

I value my life, and being around for my family. So, no, I don't ride motorcycles.
