sounds like you were the one trying to sound all badass by saying this:

Now if you want my respect, log off the OT, get out in the real world and go stand in the middle of a group of bikers and share your opinion of how our lifestyle is just a line of crap.

You gave someone on the OT instructions on how to earn your respect. Get this weak shite outta here.

I value my life, and being around for my family. So, no, I don't ride motorcycles.

This is kinda why i asked. Do you guys feel that it(accident) will never happen to you because you have done the right thing when riding? Most of the deaths here are due to the other driver not seeing the guy on the motorcyle. Just a few weeks back in my neighborhood ,early morning,a garbage truck pulled out in front of a guy said he never saw the guy on the bike. I understand we could all get killed in an accident just seems like the odds are alot higher that a normal fender bender leads to death on a motorcycle. I salute you guys who ride one though just seems like an uneccessary risk when you have a family

I just told him to say in real life what he said on here. If that's trying to sound like a bad arse to you then I don't think you know the meaning if the word.

Odds are a lot higher, I pretty much ride with a who is going to hit me now philosphy and assume any cars on side roads will pull out on me. I have been fortunate enough to never have been hit by a car. I have had some incidents sliding across the pavement though. Mostly at tracks.

If it is worth it to the person or not is up to that person. I have helped give CPR to a few people after crashes, I think one guy made it. Seen a couple on a trike get ripped to shreds by a boat trailer because they blew a turn. Too many minor accidents to even remember. I have reconsidered my riding style a few times, but giving it up hasn't been an option so far. After my big one at Barber, I had a long discussion with my wife that ended up with me focusing more on gravel and dirt and less on asphalt. Which led to me eventually getting out of sportbikes. Unfortunately I have more injuries from dirt than I ever got from asphalt. She knew how much I loved to ride and never even suggested quitting completely.

Garbage truck driver pulled out in front of motorcycle guy. Said he never saw the motorcycle. I guess the guy on the bike never expected a garabage truck just to pull out in front of him last second. It was over quick for the guy at least

Not yet today. But it's only 2pm and he's so wise so I'm assuming it will happen by the end of the day
