For you it's not a lifestyle, for others it is. Now if you want my respect, log off the OT, get out in the real world and go stand in the middle of a group of bikers and share your opinion of how our lifestyle is just a line of crap.

I've ridden/raced dirt bikes for 35 years.
Never have owned a street bike... never plan to own one. I'll never understand how people can ride those things without a helmet... and a real helmet at that. I would have been dead many times over without one.

FYI, standing in the middle of a group of any persons that has a differing opinion and spouting off is not real smart. Bikers don't make it any more dangerous.
And why does it always have to be a group of them? Are they just a bunch of pussies that can't fight 1 on 1?

I've been riding street bikes for about that same amount of time and I agree with you on the helmet thing. Helmets, real helmets and not the "novelty" kind, save lives.

I have had this discussion with plenty of bikers and some agree and some don't, we both just moved on. If I went into any group and just started being a dick to them, no matter if they are bikers or not, there is a good chance for me to get my arse beat. If I go into a group and start a discussion with them, you will end up with a wide variety of opinions on the subject.
BTW, I don't want the respect of your e-persona.

It's just the different format about how you express your opinion here vs in real life.
Here you pretty much have to address anyone and everyone that reads the thread at different times, where in real life you can actually have a flowing discussion.

My point was you can't judge us all as though we're all the same. Some bikers are great people while some are pure evil and warped.

I have plenty of times said something along the lines of "the whole idea of it being a lifestyle is crap" and then laid out an explaination of why I thought it was crap to that person or group I was talking about it to. I don't go yelling "your lifestyle is crap" to a large group of people though.
You are also taking it a bit personal and applying it to the entire way they live their life. I don't really have time to get into the lifestyle/hobby nonsense right now, but I am not saying their entire life is crap or even any of it is and leave at that without getting into that discussion. A lot of my time is heavily motorcycle related, so I would be calling that time crap if I thought like that...
