The dive functionality was a huge selling point when I got my Apple Watch Ultra. Haven’t taken it on a dive yet though, so I can’t attest to how well it performs in that role. ...

re: You come home and find your wife serving smothered turkey necks and gravy over white rice
Posted by BassHorn on 12/23/21 at 12:35 am
My dinner tonight was freshly smoked turkey necks and hearts (the rest is going in tomorrow's gumbo) and a couple links of leftover boudin. The fiance and I thoroughly enjoyed.
I'm glad to hear others appreciate the finer things in life. Thanks for this thread....

re: AC Frozen in a Block of Ice UPDATE
Posted by BassHorn on 9/28/21 at 4:48 pm
If the condenser unit is running well past the set point and the air handler is not, it will cause the lines to freeze up. This is a common problem caused by the contactor on the condenser unit sticking and therefor continuing to circulate refrigerant without air being pushed through the evaporator ...

re: Sept 9, 1942 - US Mainland Bombed by Japanese
Posted by BassHorn on 9/9/21 at 10:13 am
There’s more to this story. The pilot always felt terrible about making this bombing run and many years later came back to the town to offer his 400-year old samurai sword that had been passed down in his family as a sign of his regret. Recall reading that he expected to be horribly chastised and pl...

A/C Evaporator Coil Leaking
Posted by BassHorn on 8/3/21 at 5:12 pm
My 1600sqft house currently has a 3 ton Lennox system with heat pump. It stopped blowing cold air and A/C tech have identified a leak in the evaporator coil as the culprit. The system is around 6 years old and out of warranty.
I'm hearing that due to supply issues, replacement coils cannot be had...
