The last several times I had anything from McDonalds, I was terribly disappointed. I don’t think I’d even try to eat my weights worth of their nuggets.
That pink foam picture really got to me, whether it’s accurate or not.

The pink stuff is a preservative and it's the same stuff they put in sausage, bacon, lunch meat etc. You eat that crap all the time and don't know it.

The real question is, how many sauces would you need to choke down those dried up dog turds?

Not sure about myself, but they are the choice of the fastest man

Usain Bolt estimated he ate 1,000 McDonald’s Chicken McNuggets during the Beijing Olympics — or 100 per day over 10 days at the Athletes’ Village.
Honestly, I ate nothing else in all my time out in China except chicken nuggets,” Bolt wrote in “The Fastest Man Alive,” one of his autobiographies. “They were the only food I could properly trust which wouldn’t affect my stomach. On arriving at the [pre-Olympic] training camp I’d tried a local Chinese meal, which wasn’t like the ones we we eat in the West, and my body didn’t react well. So, knowing I could rely on nuggets, i made up my mind that was all I would eat. And eat them I did, for breakfast, lunch and dinner, washed down with bottled water.”

The “pink stuff” used in smoked sausage and bacon is Prague powder which is sodium nitrite mixed with salt. It is used to cure meat. It is dyed pink so it doesn’t get confused with salt. You only need a small amount of nitrite to cure meat, so they add salt so it will be easier to measure. For example, Instead of measuring 1 gram of nitrite, you can measure 1 teaspoon of Prague powder.
From my understanding, McDonald nuggets currently do not have Prague powder or sodium nitrite.

No longer eat those.
My son ate 50 last summer. He’s a very fit 205 pounds that’s in the gym lifting hard 4-5 days a week. He usually eats better food but sometimes goes on a shite food rampage.
50 nuggets would kill me.

I don’t know why, but I bought Kraft singles cheese a long arse time ago (which are still good). I ran out of cheddar cheese so I put the Kraft cheese on a burger. That shite would not melt. 5 minutes in 375 degrees and no melting. That’s a pretty clear sign you probably shouldn’t eat that crap. I have no idea what they put in it to keep it so long and change it’s melting point so much, but I’m never buying it again.

Once upon a time on the OT, there was a Chicken Nugget thread where a poster took a bet to eat a predetermined quantity of Chicken Nugs. There was a week or two build up to the event and it included trash talking, a hype video and a link to a live stream (back before twitter and FB did it). IIRC the poster failed to eat all of the nuggets, but it was entertaining.

I believe you and I haven’t done any research to even compare an argument against. But, I have my a concentrated effort to eat better the last 2 years or so (I’m not fat, way too thin actually) and chicken nuggets just doesn’t make the list of ‘better.’ Would I eat them again? Yes, one or two. But I’m not entering a nugget eating contest or even going out of my way to get them. I’ll stop at a Jersey Mikes or my new fave, Pot Belly and at least feel like I’m eating something healthier.

I had forgotten about that….can’t even remember which poster it was now!
