I work offshore and work a side hustle, but it's not for the extra money. I paint houses on my days off, like actual house painting, not killing people for the mob.
There's something therapeutic about doing a mindless activity. It's a change of pace from what I do offshore, where I have a lot of responsibilities that require some intricate thinking.

I'm at the end of a career and have a few side hustles. I'm part owner of a small software company that has a product for industrial type customers and I did some design work on a product for retail use and own a small piece of that.
When I retire I'll probably pick up a few other things. I don't like idle time and get bored pretty easy.

I used to teach ESL lessons to Chinese kids remotely. I made an extra $1500 a month doing that working an extra 15 hours per week.
Around 2021, the CCP banned private tutoring and it's now dead.
I now do landscaping jobs on the side. I do mostly small $2000 jobs a few times a year that take me a couple weekends to complete.

I mow a few lawns for boomers in my neighborhood. Make 150/week on it. Takes me about 2 hours. They keep trying to jew me down on the rates.

I umpire little league baseball. I’ve done some travel ball tournaments in the past, but the difference in parents between the two is pretty drastic. If I blow a call in a LL game, I probably won’t be assaulted in the parking lot. It’s a fun gig and I can bet maybe $500 a month from it.

My wife got me in to a side hustle, even though i was perfectly fine just being retired. She has a deal with a realtor group and I make cutting boards and charcuterie boards for them. They pay her for then and they give the boards to clients as a house warming gift.
I'm not too excited about it because I like making furniture more than I do cutting boards, but it makes my wife happy so I do it.
