Nothing ruins the fit and feel of jeans like washing them. If they look clean but you are concerned only about smell just freeze them for a couple of days. It works for sneakers as well, better than anything else including washing them for smell issues alone.

Office work? Several times.
Field work? Once.

I typically do 2 days as long as I don’t get sweaty while wearing them

I wear mine twice between washes usually. Back when I was poor, I was known to stretch it up to 4 or 5 wears between washes.

My jeans are starched, pressed, and creased. I can get a good 4-5 wears before I send them back to the cleaners.
