Not all of Detroit is a shite hole. There's a part of downtown by the stadiums that's pretty nice and fun. I've always felt safe in that area.

detroit being the end all be all of crime/danger is pretty dated. BR and New Orleans are much worse.

exactly other than the cold/personal culture preference...i would much rather live in detroy suburbs over nola suburbs.

This is the current state of journalism: trying to make something false into something true by exerting journalistic influence. It's like Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle at a macroscopic level.

personally, i'll take new orleans/new orleans suburbs but detroit's are objectively much better.

the average household income of mandeville is less than 80k/year. metry is about 60. you know it's bad when a place with an average income of 80k/year is considered snooty or whatever.

I can only imagine the roundtable discussion about where to open up the next shop. I'm guessing there was some real awkward silence before nobody could really articulate why it's a bad idea in a PC way.

Or maybe they're looking for an insurance payout.

I wonder if this is a tax break thing. Open shop, get robbed, claim losses to offset profit. Idk how it works.

Why would they do that?

To answer your question 3 robberies in the first month should do the trick.

I would guess most snooty areas in the south have similar average incomes.
