I don't mean in the waiting room; I mean after blood pressure check by the nurse and all that jazz, sitting in the office waiting for him to come in?

Been about 27 mins at this point.

That seems pretty reasonable

If you lifted weights and did cardio for about this amount of time everyday you wouldn’t have to wait at a doctors office

Was your appt at 3pm? Not too bad.

If this is in addition to a half hour in the waiting room, I think you should be asleep naked on the floor when he walked in.

350 minutes.

Nah man just kidding. After 30 minutes I'd start asking questions and if I don't get answers I'm leaving.

typical visits for me is you wait in the waiting room up to 30 min later than your appt...then get taken to a room and wait another 15 min for dr.

I always try to get the first appt in morning or after lunch. My PCP is great and gets me in and out sometimes before my appt is scheduled. One time I had a 8am appt (first of the day) and the nurse even said that when it was scheduled. I figured in and out in 10 min...mfer didn't get there til 8:45

Depends - if they give you time to ask all your questions and don’t rush you through then it’s probable they are doing the same to someone before you that’s taking more time than usual.

Huge pet peeve. Made a thread about pediatric wait times and upset some people. Transparency and communication would go a long way. Estimated wait times. Maybe even a notification before you show up that it's going to be an hour.

Doctors are the only motherfrickers that can be 2 hours late to a scheduled meeting time and everyone just seems to accept it. I have walked out before because of a doctor being so late. If he has no respect for my time, I have no respect for him.

It’s a free market, you can leave and find someone else

As someone who has had a heart attack and had my cardiologist meet me at the hospital, I am a bit more forgiving of them being late. Sometimes things come up.

If you really want to mess with the nurses, always do this during the 27 minutes sitting in the waiting room before the nurses take your blood pressure.

once it hits 30 min my patience has run out. I usually will leave. I changed doctors over it. New doc... 15 to 20 min at the latest.
